Superlon profit up due to lower costs

Friday, 16 December 2016

PETALING JAYA: Thermal insulation material manufacturer Superlon Holdings Bhd posts 5% higher net profit of RM5.04mil for the second quarter of financial year 2017 ended Oct 31, 2016 compared to the same period last financial year.

Year-to-date, Superlon’s net profit has performed commendably, rising by 27.6% to RM11.1mil.

The company, however, saw its revenue for the second quarter falling marginally by 0.3% to RM22.3mil. This was despite the positive growth in its manufacturing division, influenced by growth in margins due to the lower cost of materials, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
