Mitrajaya up after winning RM186mil job from Bank Negara

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Mitrajaya Holdings Bhd rose at mid-morning on Friday after the group bagged a RM186mil contract from Bank Negara Malaysia. 
At 11.09am, its shares rose five sen to 98 sen with some 1.06 million shares traded between 94.5 sen and 98 sen. 

The FBM KLCI rose 7.01 points to 1,756.75. Turnover was 241.22 million shares valued at RM187.98mil. There were 226 gainers, 202 decliners and 220 counters unchanged.

The group had on Wednesday won a contract fom the central bank to design, build, commission and complete the bank’s business operation complex.

The contract is due to start on Jan 2, 2015 and be completed by Mar 31, 2016.

The group is involved in construction, property development, international projects, manufacturing as well as healthcare.
