Cuscapi expects new products to contribute 30% to revenue

KUALA LUMPUR; Cuscapi Bhd is projecting its new products and services, namely self-service tablets (REV) and delivery call centres (CODS), to contribute 30% to the group revenue for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2015 from 15% in FY2014. 
Cuscapi provides information technology systems for the food and beverage (F and B) industry. 
Chief executive officer Her Chor Siong said REV contribution per store stood at about RM100,000, while the traditional point-of-sales (pos) systems contribution per store contributed between RM30,000 and RM40,000. 
"The first contract for REV that we have secured in Singapore is worth RM3.6mil and we anticipate that it will contribute even more significantly to our recurring revenue in the years to come," he told reporters after the company's annual general meeting on Friday. 
On its contract with Malaysia Airport Holdings Bhd (MAHB) to manage pos system for the KL International Airport (KLIA) and klia2, he said the contract has contributed RM2mil in FY2014. 
"As for this year, we are looking at RM4mil for the full year result," he added. 
The company bagged a RM21mil worth of contract for a period of five years from MAHB last year. 
On Cuscapi's outlook, he said its international and domestic business ratio will gradually be 70:30 from 50:50 at present. 
"25% of the international business ratio comes from China while the balance is from Southeast Asia," he said, adding that, the company foresees China's contribution would grow to 35% this year. 
The company is currently providing solutions to more than 4,000 restaurants in China, which accounted for 4% of the total chain restaurant in the country. 
Cuscapi registered lower pre-tax profit of RM223,000 in the first quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared with RM357,000 chalked up in the same quarter last year. 
Revenue decreased to RM13.249mil RM13.311mil previously. - Bernama
